About Me

Hi everyone!

To tell you a bit about me let's start with the basics shall we?  I have a degree in food, nutrition and health, majoring in Dietetics.  I have also trained as a weight loss coach.

During the years I have had the privilege of working in Diabetes prevention and management, aiding people with weight loss, guiding people to implement positive lifestyle changes, and creating patient/client resources for various health professionals that work in the the health/fitness industry. Through my years of health related program management and delivery, I have also years of project management under my belt, specifically in the health market research industry.

My background and experience is focused around being organized, strategic and methodical, at times, but ties into one common theme...which is making things work.  There is always a solution and often a simple one.

What else?  I am a health information enthusiast, yoga practicing (though I'm definitely not a yogi...hopefully someday), new mom, wife, food loving, novel reading, blogging/writing, West-coast living, beach loving, curious, life enjoying, serenity seeking, organizing, list-making, Libra.

Now that you know a bit about me, I want to tell you my purpose.

I have long thought about what I want to do.  I have gone down the list and something I have always come back to is being a health advocate through writing, and being less clinical (I will leave that to the many health experts out there).  I wish to find a way to reach people and make food and nutrition less complicated, easy to follow and enjoyable...because that's how it should and can be.

Nothing is perfect, and neither is any one person; we are all learning and growing daily, no matter what age.  There is always a way to implement a tiny change that will make a big difference, if that is what you're seeking.  I hope that by simplifying some messaging, encouraging even non-chefs (like me) to try things, and creating dialogue about balance, moderation and variety...everyone that is skeptical can fall back in love with food/nutrition/health again.

Happiness and health to me are interchangeable, and I wish the best of very both to you all.

Much love,

Christina Chandra, B.Sc FNH
